About Us
Inspiring Young Performers, One Step at a Time
At Haddo Musical Theatre School (HMTS), we believe that musical theatre is more than just singing, dancing, and acting—it’s about building confidence, creativity, and lifelong friendships.
Because in our little corner of the world, I am someone who believes the stage is more than just a place to perform;
It’s a space to belong. 🌟
HMTS is here to nurture young voices, bold imaginations, and cultivate the kind of confidence that carries far beyond the curtain call.
👶 For our Tiny Talents (ages 4–7), it’s all about playful discovery of singing, dancing, and finding their sparkle.
🎤 For our Development Classes (ages 8–14), it’s about creating life skills, social skills, growing stage presence, and learning what it really means to work together as a cast and community.
I want to create a space where we don’t just enable performers—we raise people. HMTS is where friendships form, confidence blooms, and everyone learns the joy of lifting each other up and celebrating in each others success and achievements🎶💫
This is community. This is theatre. This is HMTS.!

Our Mission
At HMTS, our mission is simple:
🎭 To inspire a love of musical theatre in every child
🌟 To nurture confidence, creativity, and teamwork
🎶 To provide professional training in a fun, inclusive setting
🎤 To create magical performances that bring our community together
We believe that every child deserves the chance to develop their talents, feel valued, and experience the joy of performing—no matter their experience level.

Meet Graham – The Heart Behind HMTS
Hi I am Graham Wilson, the founder of Haddo Musical Theatre School (HMTS), and I have always believed in the power of performance to transform lives. As someone who has dedicated the past 15 years to working with children and young people in a variety of therapeutic and educational roles, founding this school has been a truly heartfelt journey for me.
Alongside running my private practice Brave Journeys as a qualified Child and Young Person Counselling and Wellbeing Therapist, NLP and EFT Practitioner, and Hypnotherapist, I have spent many years supporting young people both in and out of educational settings. My experience began as a Pupil Support Assistant in schools, and has evolved through years of fostering, raising my own three children, and building trusted relationships within the local parish and the Haddo community.
The creation of HMTS stems from a simple but powerful idea: to offer a space where children from 4- 14 (soon to be 18) can express themselves freely through the performing arts—without the pressure of perfection. October musical theatre camp 2022 was a real turning point; it showed just how transformative this environment can be, particularly for neurodiverse children who often struggle to feel seen or safe in more conventional settings. Watching those young people blossom was not only emotional, but reaffirmed why I began this journey in the first place.
I’m not a drama teacher by training—my background lies in child development, counselling, and well-being. But what I bring is a deep understanding of young people, a vivid imagination, a nurturing approach, and a strong belief in the power of connection, inclusion, and creativity. With seven HCT productions behind me and a brilliant team beside me, I feel equipped and excited to grow this into something truly special.
At HMTS, it’s not just about acting, singing, or performing. It’s about trust, collaboration, emotional safety, and personal growth. We focus on building confidence, self-belief, discipline, and teamwork—skills that go far beyond the stage. We are here to help children understand that they are valued exactly as they are and that with commitment and support, they can achieve more than they ever imagined.
I’m so grateful to be on this journey with you and your young person and look forward to watching every child shine in their own unique way.
